Almost time for the finale.
The episode begins with Nora in Monroe's custody and wearing a white dress and sitting at a dinning table with food on it. Monroe says this is the only offer for joining him but she refuses, Monroe then subjects her to twenty one days of torture that includes injections and ice water. Randall is then called to Independence Hall and Monroe is angry that he was never told about The Tower and that he only now learned from Nora and Sanborn. He orders Randall killed but Randall manages to save himself by saying that The Tower is full of weapons and technology that even the President didn't know and he is the only one who can get Monroe in, Sanborn confirms this. Rachael and Aaron are then seen entering Colorado but Monroe has already arrived at the base of The Tower with several soldiers using helicopters.

You should unleash that whole fleet of helicopters on Georgia |
At Georgia Miles suggests to Jim that he should go home because the situation is now more dangerous however this only angers Jim who blames Miles for him being here in the first place. Jason and Charlie are in the middle of the street and Jason suggests they should just go to Texas before Monroe invades, they kiss but Jason breaks off after noticing someone. Later Sanborn has just arrived in Atlanta with a stolen amplifier powering a car and Nora who he has freed. Miles visits Nora in the hospital and then questions Sanborn who regrets his actions but tells them all about Monroe heading to The Tower. Miles, Charlie, Nora, Jason, Tom, Jim, Sanborn, Ramsey and a pilot use an amplifier to power a helicopter so they can save Rachael and Aaron and stop Monroe.

"So anyone else coming? This isn't a party people!" |
At The Tower Randall tires to enter but the computer won't accept his access codes, we then see that they are being watched on cameras by a group of people. Meanwhile Miles's and the group set down at Fort Hansen in the Plains Nation to refuel and Jason has a Flashback to the guy who he noticed earlier who is revealed to be a Militia spy and he has a job for Jason. The group spread out to find fuel but when they come back they find the helicopter's wires pulled out and the pilot dead with an X slashed in his throat; a mark used by a war clan in the Plains Nation. They then find Ramsey bleeding out with the same X mark but he dies before he can reveal who the killer is.

Spooky |
At The Tower Rachael and Aaron have arrived to find Monroe and his forces there, Aaron suggests they run but Rachael wants to kill Monroe gives Aaron Jane's journal to turn the power on. At Fort Hansen Miles comes to the conclusion that the murderer must be one of their own since there is no one else around and worse Nora is missing. He makes the group put all of their weapons in a bag and goes off to find her and does but unconscious and with bloody hands and a knife. Everyone suspects Nora and Sanborn says it's possible with the amount of drugs still in her system but Miles believes she's innocent. Just then Jason is found with a bloody switchblade but denies having knowledge of it being there, even Charlie grows suspicious when he asks who the person he met in Atlanta and Jason admits it was a Militia spy who asked Jason to kill Miles in exchange for Charlie's safety but he refused. Miles is about to pull his gun out on Jason but is stopped by Charlie and Tom which allows Jason to escape.

"All weapons in here, I'll be keeping mine of course" |
Meanwhile at The Tower Rachael manages to kill a Militia solider and steal his uniform to infiltrate Monroe's camp. At Fort Hansen Miles is searching for Jason and runs into Sanborn who has examined the knife found with Nora and says it was made in Annapolis, Maryland and asks who has been there lately, he is then shot and it is revealed he was killed by Jim. Miles asks why he is doing this and Jim says that Monroe is threatening his wife so he gave them their location for the drone strike and has been doing these killings, he also blames Miles for ruining his life and that he won't keep fighting a pointless battle. The two fight it out but it looks like that Jim has the upper hand before Jason shoots him from behind, saving Miles. Later Nora fixes the helicopter and the rest of the group continues on to Colorado. The episode ends with Rachael walking into Monroe's tent with a grenade and pulls the pin.

We finally get to see them fight! |
This has got to be one of my favourite episodes for the second half of Revolution Season One along with Love Boat because it was definitely something different because we had a murder mystery on our hands. Also I am glad that Jim finally got another episode with him in the spotlight and there was barely any Rachael and Aaron story in this and after the last episode I really needed that.
|
Damn now that's cold! |
Firstly lets talk about Jim and I admit I was a bit surprised that he betrayed everyone in the end but I guess we and even Miles should have seen this coming. Jim has said before that Mile has ruined his life and he made a good new start for himself and with his wife before Miles came to recruit him. Miles is defiantly a good guy but I admit his methods are cruel at times and he has made some characters life worse when he involves himself with them, of course its not intentional. I could also understand that Jim had no choice but to betray everyone and that I guess he never had any reason to be loyal to them anyway. Like I said above I am glad that this episode was kind of a Jim centred one but it is a shame he is dead because he was such an underused character and I wish he got a Flashback.

"Keep up Mr Flynn" |
As for the time we spent at Fort Hansen that was where the episode really shined because I really liked everyone suspecting each other and not knowing who the killer was. They had me really convinced that it could have been Nora but also Jason or Sanborn because of the evidence and circumstances that pointed to them. The murders I admit was so graphic with that X mark craved into their throats, it made me feel like I was watching a Slasher film. We also got that fight we have been waiting for between Miles and Jim and it was really great and brutal to watch.

You two don't exactly blend in with your environment |
We didn't see much of the other subplots for which I am glad because we really need it to stay in one place for the majority of the episode every now and again. For what we did see it looks like Randall is no longer in Monroe's good books but he managed to convince him to go to The Tower. I wonder if there really are weapons in there and what will Randall do when he finds that the elevator and can to level 12? As for Rachael trying to blow herself up I really don't think that is going to work because I don't think two major characters are going to go out like that.

A white dress and dinner instead of torture, what does that remind you of? |
Overall this was one of the stronger episode of the latter half of Season One and it looks like next episode all the characters will be at The Tower. Hopefully we will also find out who the people are who where watching Randall and Monroe and why they are already in The Tower.
SCORE: 9/10
Highlights: The events at Fort Hansen
A more Jim centred story
Every major character will soon be together at The Tower
Let - Downs: Jim was really underused throughout the series and now he is dead
