Bleach Review: Against The Judgment

"With us you Soul Reapers can finally leave"
Aizen prepares to bring down the entire Soul Palace despite the protests of the Soul Reapers however the surviving Sternritters in the Wandenreich intervene led by Sternritter U, NaNaNa Najahkoop.

Been a while since I have reviewed Bleach but as I have said before when I am really busy during the week I make Gotham, Arrow and The Flash my priority over this plus despite Aizen I have been so disappointed in Bleach's constant standstill in terms of plot development lately. Anyway this chapter is really good because it brings back the Sternritter who survived Yhwach's Auswahlen but what is weird is that they seem to have their powers back, I thought Auswahlen drained them of their powers? Still we get to see NaNaNa in action and find out that his Underbelly power allows him to analyse Reiatsu over time and damage his opponent. It was really cool and while he didn't complete stop Aizen he certainly didn't mind taking him on which is why I didn't like Bazz - B stopping NaNaNa. NaNaNa has always been one of my favourite Sternritter, I really like his design and personality, and it would be a shame if he dies now without ever having a proper fight especially when  he was hyped to face Renji for a time (more evidence that I think Kubo has just been neglecting him). However even if he wasn't I would have preferred a fight between the surviving Sternritter and the Soul Reapers in place of a team up; it is understandable that Bazz - B is against Yhwach now because he almost died by Auswahlen but still in my opinion one last fight against the Soul Reapers would have been better (plus it looks like Shunsui was finally going to fight too). Not much else to say about this chapter other than the dialogue between Mayuri and Aizen was funny because I wanted these two great minds to have a argument for a while now and I wasn't disappointed; each trying to prove who is better was typical of them.

If this is the end of NaNaNa than I am going to be really ticked off
Overall a good chapter but it is a shame that NaNaNa may have been taken out but hopefully the story might actually move now and we get some proper fights.

SCORE: 7/10

Highlights: NaNaNa showing off his power and trying to stop Aizen
The banter between Mayuri and Aizen

Let - Downs: NaNaNa taken out?
Not sure I like the Sternritter and Soul Reaper team up that much

Bleach Review: The Dark Arm

"I was just one day from retirement"
Shunsui has now completely freed Aizen who tires to convince him to use his powers for the Soul Society meanwhile in the Royal Palace Yhwach tries to stop Mimihagi but Ichigo steps in.

If your wondering why I didn't review last chapter that is because I was really busy but I was incredibly disappointed in it anyway. I would have given it 10/10 for the reveal of Aizen alone but the majority of the chapter had to waste a lot of time with Urahara and the rest. As for this chapter it was a lot better because we got to see more of Aizen and Shunsui while we didn't waste several pages on Urahara's group doing absolutely nothing to advance the story (besides Ukitake) like they have been for a while. I really enjoyed the banter between Aizen and Shunsui because despite being in prison Aizen is still being his usual self, like not asking to be released and acting like he could care less if he is. It seems at the end that he will go because it is implied that he hates Yhwach even more than the Soul Reapers, which would also explain why he turned down the offer to work with him before. Two things that was really interesting was that the suit Aizen his in only contains his powers not remove them which is great because if he does fight in the future he will be at full power right away. Secondly because the fingers of that guard literally disintegrated when he got close to Aizen I'm guessing that Aizen his still a transcendent being thanks to the Hogyoku that is still in him; remember it only started to reject him at the end it didn't leave him. As for the rest of the chapter Ichigo and Yhwach have a pretty cool confrontation but it wasted time with Ichigo going on about how he protects peoples (like he always does) and Yhwach still talking about Ichigo's Quincy blood but only vaguely but hopefully we will get a proper fight next chapter.

This was really cool
This review may have seemed short but that is because I don't find much to talk about them; I mean Yhwach stabbed the Soul King quite a while ago and yet the story hasn't really progressed much at all. Plus why aren't the rest of Ichigo's group doing anything and where the hell are the Elite Sternritters?

SCORE: 7/10

Highlights: Long Live Lord Aizen!!!!!!
The stuff that happens with Aizen and Shunsui
                   Ichigo stopping Yhwach

Let - Downs: Ichigo and Yhwach waste time talk on stuff we already know
Where are the rest of Ichigo and Yhwach forces?

Bleach Review: Mimihagi - Sama

"They didn't say it would be this painful"
While the remaining Quincy are shocked that Yhwach would destroy them along with the worlds Ukitake activates Kamikake and calls upon the Right Arm of the Soul King Mimihagi to make him the Soul King replacement. Meanwhile in the underground prison Shunsui visits Sosuke Aizen.

Guess I'll talk about the most important development and that is the return of AIZEN!! I have been looking forward to this for years because Aizen is one of my most favourite manga characters and villains of all time. I don't know what Shunsui wants to talk to him about but I'm guessing it could be because of his powers, immortality or his vast knowledge that could be useful against Yhwach. Still Shunsui must know that he is playing with fire and that Aizen can't be trusted and will sure to work his own plan in this chaos. I so want Aizen to be the final villain of this arc because I can really see Ichigo defeating Yhwach but then Aizen steps in and becomes the final boss. It is a shame we don't get to see him so I really hope we do next chapter however I won't be surprised if Kubo moves away from this for several chapters because he has done that kind of tease before.

"Can you hear me Aizen?"
We also get some back story on Ukitake (about time) and find out that there are more Gods   worshipped in the Soul Society than I thought. I'm guessing, and I sure many have already, but I think Mimihagi is the actual right arm of the Soul King based on it's appearance and the fact that the Soul King is missing limbs. We also find out that Ukitake wants to replace the Soul King but I really hope he doesn't die because we have barely seen him fight and we haven't seen his Bankai. Instead I would prefer Ukitake to share his body with the Soul King so he can still have a fight in the future. As for everything else it is interesting seeing the Soldat as shocked as the Sternritter which makes me think they never really knew Yhwach's full plan. Since we also get a shot of Bazz - B I'm fairly sure the remaining Sternritter and Soldat will team up with the Soul Reapers to bring down Yhwach, which is a shame because I wanted my theory to be true of Yhwach making more Sternritter out of the Soldat. Finally the art work this chapter was really impressive, especially the shots with Ukitake when he using Kamikake.

That has got to be the Soul King's right arm, just look at it
Overall I'm going to give this chapter a near perfect score because of Shunsui meeting Aizen at the end, it would have gotten perfect if we saw him and that Kubo might move away from it next chapter.

SCORE: 9/10

Highlights: Long Live Lord Aizen!!!!!!
                   Ukitake and Mimihagi
                   The reaction of the Soldat

Let - Downs: We don't get to see Aizen
